MISSION STATEMENT
The Coastal Studies Laboratory was established in 1973 and is dedicated to providing educational opportunities, enhancing research, engaging in public service, and providing community outreach related to coastal and marine concerns in the Gulf of Mexico with special emphasis on the South Texas region.

AQUARIUM & MUSEUM
The Coastal Studies Lab is open to the public Monday - Friday 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm for self-guided tours. View marine aquaria with native fish and invertebrate species, touch tank, local and world-wide shell collections, interesting beach finds, nature videos, and gift shop.
No admission is charged. Donations are accepted.

TOURS FOR SCHOOLS AND OTHER ORGANIZED GROUPS
School groups, civic groups, and other organized groups may arrange to visit the Coastal Studies Lab Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The group sponsor should visit www.utrgv.edu/csl for details and pricing on our guided tours and then complete and submit the online tour request form at least two weeks in advance of the preferred date.
Generally, tour requests will receive a response within 2 business days. Requests received during weekends and UTRGV holidays will receive a response once normal business hours resume.
