Firefighter/Paramedic (Full Time)
JOB SUMMARY The Firefighter protects life and property by performing fire suppression, advanced life support (ALS) medical and trauma treatment, hazardous materials and fire prevention duties. Maintains fire equipment, apparatus and facilities. Under general supervision of a Company Officer, provides basic and advanced life support services to ill or injured persons in accordance with the policies established by the South Padre Island Fire Department and the Medical Control Director. Beach Rescue Technician
Pay Rate: $16.50/Hourly Applicants returning with 3-5 years of SPI consecutive experience will be paid a rate of $17.50/hour and those returning with 6+ years will be paid a rate of $18.50/hour. This position performs a variety of routine and complex work in the patrol of the designated Beach area to ensure safety of beach visitors.
